Certified NBS.TTP, AISTD – Ballet Instructor Cecchetti Method
Amanda grew up in Langley, BC. Amanda trained in ballet, jazz, modern, lyrical, and tap. This versatility in her dancing allowed her many opportunities such as successfully competing in international dance competitions and preforming with dance companies throughout Canada.
As a young dancer Amanda trained at the Coquitlam School of Ballet and quickly developed a passion for ballet and teaching. It was this love for the art form and sharing it with others that lead her to Toronto to study at The National Ballet of Canada. Amanda graduated from the NBS in 2004 with the Three Year Teachers Diploma with honours. Amanda also earned honours for her Cecchetti Associate Teachers Qualification (AISTD) while studying at the NBS.
Since returning back to BC from the NBS, Amanda has taught at many studios around the lower mainland and has successfully been entering dancers into ballet exams and competitions. She continues her studies in many forms of dance as well as yoga, and Pilates.
Amanda has been teaching at ADC for the past 5 years. She strives to inspire a passion for ballet in her students, in a safe, fun and loving environment .
