At ADC, we pride ourselves on being “The Affordable Alternative.” This approach enables our students to explore multiple dance genres without placing a significant financial strain on their families. We are dedicated to providing accessible opportunities for students to experience and enjoy various styles of dance.
ADC is proud to be home to the Twinkle Star Dance Program™. This program is built on four key pillars: Skill Building, Center Movement, Just for Fun, and Showtime. Together, these elements provide a comprehensive foundation for exceptional dance training. The developmental benefits of the Twinkle Star Dance Program™ extend well beyond the dance studio, nurturing growth and skills applicable in various aspects of life.
At ADC, we offer a wide range of dance programs to cater to different interests and needs:
- Recreational Dance Programs
- Competitive Dance Programs
- Intensive Training Programs
- 8-Week “Learn to Dance” Programs
- 8-Week Parent and Tot Programs for children aged 12 to 36 months
To support our families with expenses, we coordinate optional fundraising opportunities to help cover costume costs and competition fees. These opportunities are available for those who wish to participate.
ADC provides a diverse selection of dance styles, ensuring there is something for everyone.

Recreational Dance Program for 5yrs to Adult
These classes are often called Twinkle Stars, Beg, Mini, Junior or Preteen classes and are for dancers who do not want to compete but want to dance for fun and only participate in the recital. Unlike other studios, there is no requirement to do competitions at all. This is the perfect way to introduce dance to children in a fulfilled atmosphere.
What is our Competition Dance Program
These Classes are for the more serious dancer who wants to improve their dance skills. Most Competitive classes require a Technique class. All Groups will participate in 3 Competitions throughout the year, public performances and Recital. There is an option to do more competitions for solo, duo and Trio students, but it is not mandatory.
How many shows a year do we do?
This question is frequently asked, as many schools do multiple shows yearly. At ADC, the student’s “learning time” is the most important and beneficial thing for young dancers. We refrain from interrupting this learning period for multiple shows during the year. They will continue to learn technique as we gradually introduce choreography for the year-end Recital routine. The recital is intended to be their time to “Shine” and show what they have learned throughout the year. Recreation dancers will only perform in One showcase a year per class.
Our year-end recitals consist of three shows. The “Shine Show” is a special show for our Twinklebabies and Twinklestars. It is a condensed show that is usually 30-45 minutes long. The Matinee Show is for Mini and Junior dancers, and the Evening Recital is for our Preteen, Teen and Adult dancers. Competitive dancers may perform in all three shows.
What is Acrobatics
So, what is Acro Dance exactly? What makes it different than gymnastics?
If Acro dancers were gymnasts, they would be focused primarily on sticking their landings out of tricks flawlessly or balancing perfectly on a balance beam. They would work for a seamless floor routine and iron out every kink possible in a trick.
Acro Dance is none of these things. Why? Because our dancers are not just athletes, they are a unique mix of athlete AND artist!
Dancing is about bringing thoughts, feelings, and emotions to life, and Acro Dance is a method to express this! Like in jazz, where a pirouette adds so much more to a routine, so does a back-walkover. And just like that pirouette can have so much more meaning in a performance than simply being a pirouette, so will that back-walkover.
“Acro Dance is an art form that incorporates both the fluid movements of dance and the difficult tricks from acrobatics. Dancers not only learn how to execute each Acro move with strength, flexibility and technique but also learn to perform each trick seamlessly through choreographed routines…” – Acro Dance Teachers Association.
